All the hoagies are made fresh to order. The roll is what makes the hoagie. I would recommend the tuna Diablo. Fresh tuna mixed with a blend of spices and pepper jack cheese.

We always look forward to enjoying our Primo subs. Unfortunately we placed and order on 7/27/15 to take home with us for lunch on the trip. To our surprise my primo size big t with everything and Diablo spices cut in 4 was lacking several things. As in the everything and the Diablo spices. My husband Italian which was to be cut on 4 wasn't cut at all. I was so disappointed because primos is a treat to get and to have just meat cheese and bread didn't cut it. I did call back the primos Oc with the complaint and Eddie the manager was very nice and apologized. I told him I would be back on Friday and he said he would make it right. Well went today, Friday, Eddie was there and he remembered talking to me. I gave him my order and then he charged me. I was surprised but paid. I went to sit down to wait and reviewed my receipt and was really bothered about it and did notice a discount of $1.98 (10%) off the bill. This made me madder because the right thing to do would have been to say sorry for the inconvenience here are your subs on us have a great day. When I confronted him he did say I am sorry and that 10% was that he was going to do. I questioned him about his statement and he repeated he gave me a discount and was rude about it. I still love the subs but customer service is poor

These hoagies were awesome. ...first night in oc and they really hit the spot. Bread and meat were so fresh. What a pleasant surprise thanks for the spot on reviews Yelp

AAAAMazing!!!!! By far the best Italian hoagie I've ever had. Portions are more than enough! Meat and bread are fresh. (Loved that the deli meat is sliced thin!!) ! You have to try this place. You will not be disappointed!

Primo is one of the better sandwich options I've found in Ocean City. A branch of a sandwich chain originating in Philly's, it focuses mostly on their hoagies with an Italian/American slant. I was surprised to see a philly cheesesteak missing from the menu, in lieu of cold cut and chicken cutlet sandwiches, but there are other good options. We called in our order, it was recorded correctly, we were given a reasonable time frame to pick up, and the sandwiches were ready when we arrived. It also happens to be located next to a beer store, so you can do double duty while picking up. I got the Bada Bing, which is a chicken cutlet topped with sharp provolone and fresh broccoli rabe. The chicken they used was good quality and pounded thin. The bread wasn't great, but it was crisp and suitable for sandwiches. As advertised, the provolone they use is nice and spicy; most places use a cheap, flavorless provolone, which drives me nuts. The broccoli rabe used wasn't especially fresh, but it was still good and loaded with garlic. The sandwich was well made and seemed to have been made by someone who knew how to balance the ingredients together (shocking, I know!). A small size was also sufficient for lunch. I'll definitely order from here again next time I'm in OC. It may be a chain, but it's a chain that does things the right way. It's also light years better than places like Pizza Tugos, and although that normally isn't saying much, it sadly does say something for OC lunch options.

Best hoagie in MD!! Hands down. The bread is fresh the meats are of very high quality, great staff and they now have a bar!! I don't mind waiting anymore. Great idea!

This place has become a regular place for me. My wife loves it. The hoagies are very good. The service is relatively fast. The staff is very friendly. I'd have given them 4.5 stars if I could. The only deduction being price. They aren't outrageously expensive, but it is the beach and everything is more expensive. But I like it enough to eat here regularly.

Pretty good, considering ocean city food! They have and use more unique ingredients--broccoli rabe, sharp cheddars, pablano peppers etc. I think their bread is a little dry and I don't know if they offer a wheat or skinny bread option. Or even a lettuce wrapped sandwich. They use a lot of oil, beware and I agree with another reviewer to order ahead. If you go in it could take awhile.

Awesome!! Everything is really fresh, huge menu. Love the Sharp Italian, roast beef, and meatball subs. Can be really busy in summer. Look up menu online and call ahead.

We found this sub shop 2 yrs ago on vacation and on this year's return to OC was one of our top must do's. Staff is friendly, menu, options, SIZE and price are very clear when you walk in. 9 of us split 3 whole (24") hoagies: mild Italian, chicken parm and a meatball. The group loved all of them and are already planning to go back before we leave for home again! Fresh, fast, tasty and BONUS: was one of the less expensive meals we've had yet: Price for 8 adults plus 1 child to eat dinner was roughtly $66, we ordered to go and had beverages at the condo so this price is only for the hoagies. There is a $2 off coupon in the Passport coupon book pg 21.

This place is horrible in service and the food does not make up for it. I had called and placed a delivery order at 12:30 p.m. and was quoted 30 minutes. 1 hour rolls by and getting a little impatient I called again to ask what the problem was when the girl told me that they were super busy and it was going to be another 25 minutes. I expressed my disapproval and was simply told....I'm sorry...so being patient I waited a little longer. Well 2 p.m. now and no sign of food from 13 streets away so I called and the driver had not left and they asked if I still wanted to wait. Obviously I said no in a very ill manner. Determined to try a hoagie I got in my car and drove up there and placed a new order to find the manager chewing tobacco at the counter joking with the counter girls. Then he walked out to his truck sat there for 5 minutes texting then went on a delivery run?!?!? so I got my hoagies and went home. They were awful..stay away from here...stay far away!

Such a godsend. From the time Subway, Quiznos, and the rest of the dreadful big chain, fast food style sub places showed up, great subs have been on the decline. Sadly, an entire generation of young people no longer understand what a *real* sub is- at least in Maryland. They think that Subway's generic lunchmeat and processed cheese products on a long doughy roll is a "sub." They have no clue. Primo returns their chance. All Primo's ingredients are authentic, top shelf - Thumann's Deli products. If there's any gripe at all it's that they over-stuff the hoagies TOO much. The rolls are baked on premises and are spot-on for what a sub roll should be. They're fresh, hearty but not overpowering. The sesame seeds are a unique touch. Even the olive oil is high quality. Everything comes together perfectly in what I would describe as a culinary work of art. It's definitely more Italian deli style rather than ma & pa sub shop (both of which are scarce now days) but "high-end" deli quality for sure. I've heard people complain they're expensive but that's a very myopic view in my opinion. You *really* get what you pay for in quality and quantity. The things are *HUGE*. My wife and I get two meals each out of a large one. And, so help me, they actually improve with age! They seem to marinate over night and are even better the next day. I can't do them justice with words. Nothing is perfect- you *will* wait for your order- even with no one ahead of you. It's worth it. The only negative I really have is that they are only open in season now. This is bad news for me since we only go to OC off season. I'm hoping this fact changes at some point. One other tiny nitpick. Their basic, signature hoagie, the "Italian" comes standard with *hot* Capacola. It's only if you read down to the next item that you find the "Mild Italian". This is backwards and on at least two occasions I forgot this fact and ordered the first item- which I naturally assumed was just your basic not hot version. Needless to say, I do not like hot spice. It seems to me the basic version should be first and called the "Italian"- the next should be called "Hot Italian." The hot version should get the descriptor. "Mild" should be the default. Not getting hots if you want them might be a disappointment, but getting them if you DON'T want them can ruin you meal. Imagine a burger joint having a "Hamburger" as the first item on their menu. You order it to find it's a tofu burger because you failed to look down to the next item which reads "Meat Hamburger." Doesn't make sense. I have to think others have made this mistake. In fact, I'm sure they have since I made the mistake again last time and when I went back to correct my order while it was being made, the manager finished my sentence for me with a nod and knowing smile. You can argue it's my fault, and technically it is, but bear in mind I only get to order these things once or twice a year. It's easy to forget the issue when you know what you want and figure you don't have to read whole menu. Anyway- still the best sub/hoagie place on the island- maybe the whole state. ___________________ ***GOOD NEWS- on my recent trip to the beach, not only was Primo open off season, they will now stay open all year having added a bar!

My daughter gave them 4 stars for her ham and cheese hoagie and said she would return. I ordered the meatball and asked for onions to be added, guess what? No onions on my sandwich. It was just okay, the meatballs didn't seem homemade or freshly made for the day. Bread was superb and Primo's saving grace. Went back the next day on our way home, my daughter wanted me to change the review to 5 stars. Simply divine.

Another great place for sandwiches!! I would not hesitate sending all of you here! The service is quick even with the longer line, while you are waiting for your sandwich, go next door, have a seat and a drink, they will bring it to you when it is done. Had one of the best Classic Meatball Subs ever and the bartender, Ally, she makes your stay very enjoyable.

Had Primo's for the first time today and it was amazeballs. I plan on going back several times this week. I had the Mild Italian with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and mayo. The spices they put on made the sandwich. My friend had eggplant parm with sweet peppers. The owner came out to see how it was because he had never seen that combo before. My friend raved about the sauce, too.
